How does Excel V® Laser work?
Excel V® uses two laser wavelengths—532 nm and 1064 nm—allowing it to target a wide range of vascular and pigmented lesions. The laser energy is absorbed by haemoglobin or melanin, depending on the concern. This absorption generates heat, which selectively damages the targeted vessel or pigment while sparing surrounding tissue. The body then naturally clears the treated structures, improving skin clarity. Clinical evidence supports Excel V®’s ability to reduce vascular lesions while also stimulating collagen in treated areas.
What to expect during your treatment
A typical Excel V® session lasts 15 to 45 minutes. A cooling device is integrated to enhance comfort and protect the skin during each laser pulse. Patients often feel a mild stinging or snapping sensation. The number of treatments required varies by concern; some patients see improvement after one session, while others benefit from a series spaced four to six weeks apart.
What does Excel V® Laser treat?
Excel V® can treat facial telangiectasia (broken capillaries), spider veins, diffuse redness, and flushing associated with rosacea. It is also effective for cherry angiomas, port-wine stains and certain pigmented lesions such as lentigines (sun spots). Common treatment areas include the face, neck, chest and legs, as well as other regions with visible vascular changes.
Recovery and results
Recovery is minimal. Mild redness or swelling may occur for a few hours post-treatment, and some vessels or pigmented spots may temporarily darken before clearing. Results are often visible within days to weeks, with ongoing improvement as the body processes treated vessels or pigment. With proper skin care and sun protection, results can be long-lasting. All Excel V® treatments are performed under medical supervision to ensure safety, accuracy and the highest standard of care.
