Microneedling

Stimulate skin renewal and collagen production with microneedling.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses precision-engineered needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin. This process harnesses the body’s regenerative capacity, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Microneedling can improve texture, tone and firmness while reducing the appearance of scars, fine lines and other irregularities. It is effective on the face, neck, chest and other areas where skin quality can be enhanced.

Benefits of Microneedling

  • Improves skin texture, tone and firmness
  • Reduces fine lines and acne scars
  • Stimulates collagen with minimal downtime, safe for most skin types

How does microneedling work?

Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the epidermis and superficial dermis using sterile, single-use needle cartridges. These microchannels trigger a cascade of biological responses, including fibroblast activation and new collagen and elastin formation. Research shows that microneedling increases the density of dermal collagen and elastin fibres, improving skin thickness and resilience. When combined with adjunctive treatments such as platelet-rich plasma, results can be further enhanced.

What to expect during your treatment

A typical microneedling session lasts 30 to 45 minutes. A topical anaesthetic is applied to maximize comfort. The device is passed evenly across the skin, creating precise microchannels. Patients often notice a mild prickling sensation. A series of three to six sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, is generally recommended, with maintenance treatments one to two times a year.

What does microneedling treat?

Microneedling can address fine lines, enlarged pores, dullness, crepiness and uneven skin tone. It is effective for improving acne scarring, surgical scars and stretch marks. It can also support skin rejuvenation in areas prone to early signs of aging, including the periorbital, perioral, and décolletage regions.

Recovery and results

Recovery is typically brief, with redness and mild swelling resolving within 24 to 48 hours. Some patients experience light flaking as the skin renews. Visible improvement can appear within weeks, with continued gains over several months as collagen remodels. With medical oversight, microneedling is performed in a controlled, sterile environment, ensuring both safety and predictable, high-quality results.
