Tixel® in Vancouver
Resurface, rejuvenate and refresh skin with precision.
Tixel® is an innovative, non-laser treatment that uses controlled thermal energy to improve skin texture, firmness and overall quality. It occupies a space between skin tightening procedures like Thermage® or Ultherapy®, and complexion treatments such as IPL, microneedling or Clear + Brilliant®. Tixel® is particularly effective for delicate areas that are often more challenging to treat, including the eyelids, lips and neck. By stimulating collagen and elastin production, this treatment helps restore smoother, healthier and more youthful-looking skin.

How does Tixel® work?
A Tixel® session typically lasts 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the treatment area and intensity. Topical anaesthetic may be applied for comfort, and patients usually experience brief sensations of warmth with each contact of the handpiece. Following treatment, redness and mild swelling—similar to a sunburn—are common, and tiny crusts may form on the treated skin. Downtime varies depending on intensity: lighter treatments involve only one to two days of recovery, while more intensive sessions may take up to a week.
What does Tixel® treat?
Tixel® is a versatile treatment that rejuvenates skin quality in several areas. It smooths fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture on the face, safely treats delicate eyelid skin to reduce crepiness and crow’s feet, and softens lip lines around the mouth. On the neck, it enhances firmness and improves laxity, while on the hands it restores smoother texture and reduces visible signs of aging.
Recovery and results
Recovery after Tixel® is generally short, though it depends on treatment intensity. Redness, swelling and bronzing can last from a day or two with gentler settings, to several days with deeper resurfacing. Tiny crusts naturally heal as new skin appears. Improvements emerge gradually as collagen remodels, with results continuing to develop for weeks to months. A series of one to five treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, is usually recommended. Maintenance sessions may be needed every six to 12 months to preserve results.
